An extra storage between driver and front passenger would also be handy similar to what they have on the Asian market. I would rather Honda Aus kept the curtain shades on the window as per previous upgrade. Some new introduction of tech is pretty much useless like the hand gesture 'star wars' door. And out of all compared people movers, the Odyssey is the cheapest to buy brand new. Read more rchased for it's practicality and it's smaller dimensions compared to the likes of Carnival, Granvia, Merc and VW, but still having enough space inside to seat our family of 7 comfortably. Yes the old carry over 2.4 CVT engine could've been better, but I'm not a driver who is power hungry as this vehicle will only be driven around the suburbs, school pickups, grocery shopping, etc. The new look is far more better looking too than the previous face upgrade.

I must say that they have improved the ride and handling of this 2021 model compared to the previous upgrade they did back in 2018 when ride comfort was pretty bad. It's like the plastic trim is warped as it is cheap quality plastic.īought a brand new 2021 Odyssey ViLX7 after test driving from a dealer for 45 mins. I initially thought it was a coin being thrown at the windscreen (sounds the same), but further narrowing down the source of the noise, i can press on the side of the plastic sunglass holder trim and replicate the sound. Internal plastic snapping noises - very distinct plastic snapping noise from the top plastic sunglass holder trim area.

The body panel directly underneath the left and and right very rear windows aren't held in tight enough to the body and can be lifted and pushed slightly to replicate the metal rattle.Įxhaust rattling noise - very noticeable after putting the car in "Park", turning the engine off and remain sitting in the vehicle. Read more of the chrome guard trims (front and rear) not secured to body properly, i can tap on the chrome trim lightly and it makes the same noise. Wasn't able to test drive last year with a technician due to COVID restrictions.īody creaks, metal rattles and metal tapping noises - especially if there is a rapid change in outdoor temperature from cold to hot, can also be heard when stationary at the traffic lights. Maybe by then it will be an EV with Tesla acceleration.Purchased a brand new MY2020 model in 2021. I’m going to ease off for now but hopefully after 2 kids and some soccer practices she’ll let me get one for our family. She’s just turning 30 so there’s been a lot of talk like that recently lol. I tried selling my girlfriend on it by telling her I’d buy a nicer convertible for our weekend drives (she’s not the biggest fan of my NB) but unfortunately she said she would never, ever drive a minivan because it makes her feel old. We’ve nicknamed it the Millennial Falcon because it really does have it where it counts haha. You can’t even feel the shifts of the 10-speed during normal driving but it will rapid-fire bang off shifts like a Mustang 10-speed if you do a 0-80mph pull. The V6 pulls hard to redline and the VTEC changeover is so obvious, just like an H22A. I got to drive it to lunch and walked away ready to get one as soon as we have our first kid.

The whole-vehicle infotainment system is absolutely awesome for everyone in the car on a road trip and the intercom and cams for the rear seat passengers seem like legitimately helpful tools for parents with a few kids. He got literally every option and it has so many awesome quirks and features catered towards parents and kids. Well, one of the older guys with 4 kids got the new Odyssey and it’s really become the star of the show recently.
